Top This and That (Click here for Past Performances)

Top This and That is a Gray/Roan gelding born in 2002 making him 9 years old. He is 16.2 h/h and is sired by Old Topper. His dam is Emmy Ann by Theatrical (IRE).

Top This and That was bred in California and successfully raced in the southern California circuit with 31 career starts. Top This and That raced in first class competition in some of the same races as Lava Man. He retired with lifetime earnings of $422,262. He had 8 wins, 10 places and 9 shows, meaning he "hit the board" nearly every time he set foot on the track which is a remarkable racing record.

Neigh Savers is assisting the California Equine Retirement Foundation (CERF) in placing this gelding. CERF is California's best known retirement facility but sometimes horses at that facility are deemed suitable for a second career so CERF is allowing Top This and That be to be adopted to a suitable and loving home.

Top This and That came to CERF with a right front bowed tendon. After a year and a half layup the most recent veterinarian's exam showed no lesion or lameness which makes him a prime candidate for adoption.

Top is an easy keeper with a nice temperament. He is very playful and active and relates well with his equine friends in turnout. Because he has been off for so long Top will require some work in the area of attention. He is still quite playful at age nine and this playfullness interferes with his concencentration on work. However, in the right hands and training we are certain that Top will blossom into an outstanding equestrian performer. His stunning looks will no doubt command attention as well.

Before arranging a visit to see Top you must have an approved adoption application on file with Neigh Savers. Please contact karin@neighsavers.com for more information.

This was a joint effort between Neigh Savers and CERF. CERF had the horse in their care and we found the adoptee. Thanks to everyone. Top was looking for his special person and a job.
