Dreaming of a Prince (Click here for Past Performances)
ADOPTED!!!
"Dreaming of a Prince" is a 9 year old dark bay mare that was formerly a race horse albeit very briefly with only 3 races. She then served as a broodmare and
is now retired from that as well. With her large size of almost 17 h/h and beautiful bearing she always took the breath away from all that saw her and delivered
large and attractive race horses but now she is looking for another profession. We believe she can jump and/or be very useful as a dressage horse. She will
not be available for six months while we train her. She is being sponsored by her former owner in training so we have been given the gift of time to play with her.
Trainer Kristin Mulhall saw our listing of Dreaming of a Prince and writes: "Aww. This was my girl I bred and raised and then Mitchell claimed her first time out -- that's how pretty she was! I named her after the Prince passed away (Ahmed from the The Thoroughbred Corporation). She was my Princess! Her Dad was one of my favorites at the farm and the Prince said I could breed him so I pulled him outta the pen and bred her myself! She could actually run as well. I never dreamed they'd claim her from me being a totally unknown family but they did. Her mom was one of my favorites, in fact I have her tail on my fireplace. ;( "
Dreaming of a Prince does have some royal pedigree in her. She is by Royal Court (Danzig) and her great-grandfather is the esteemed Northern Dancer and through
that line she traces back to Triple Crown Winner Seattle Slew.
Dreaming of a Prince has been adopted and is already renamed. She is now "Cinder" for Cinderella with the obvious reference to Dreaming of a Prince--
very cute!! She has been adopted by Olivia and David and has been moved to Cupertino, CA. Olivia and David are avid horsepeople who rise at the crack of dawn
in order to visit the barn and ride every day before work in the winter. In the summer and when daylight savings time begins they can sleep in and
visit the barn after work.
