Christie's Glory (Click here for Past Performances)

"Christie's Glory" is a dark bay almost blood bay gelding and simply stunning. He is by Hunter's Glory (Jade Hunter) and was bred and owned by Larry Zimmerman who donated him to Neigh Savers and pledged to pay all of his expenses until we found him a home. As luck would have it, a star was shining over Mr. Zimmerman and his kindness and thus Christo was adopted in a matter of two weeks or almost as quickly as he came into the program! Why is it our un-sponsored horses are never that lucky?

Christo raced a total of 24 times primarly at Golden Gate Fields. In August 2010 he bowed a tendon and had been off ever since. Mr. Zimmerman is an elderly gentleman and is out of the horse business now. He lovingly tended to his boy and often drove from his home in the east bay to Stockton just to feed Christo some carrots. Christo could easily have gone back into racing but luckily has found a forever home with Lynnae C. of Willits, CA. Lynnae is so excited to have found a special equine friend to share her life with.
